Sara R Phillips: Incident in Another Time | An Post Gallery
As part of the official launch of TULCA 2026, Sara R Phillips will present a live reading of Incident in Another Time.
Incident in Another Time is a nostalgic work by Sara R Phillips, drawing on her experience of the early punk movement between late 1976 and 1979, seen through the lenses of K-Scope, a punk band that never really happened. The piece is a very personal work, drawing on her experience of the music, the culture, the activism and the vacant space that was Ireland of the late-1970s, from which bands like U2 and the Virgin Prunes emerged. Incident in Another Time is a glimpse into one woman’s search for identity.
Phillips will also exhibit framed archival material at the TULCA Gallery as part of this year’s exhibition programme.
