Official Launch of TULCA Festival of Visual Arts 2026
TULCA Festival of Visual Arts invites you to the official launch of Veruca Salt, curated by Sinéad Keogh. Join artists, contributors and guests for an evening reception at An Post Gallery, marking the opening of the 24th edition of TULCA.
The evening will also see the launch of TULCA’s latest publication, Veruca Salt, followed by a live reading by Sara R Phillips from Incident in Another Time. Opening speeches by Lucy Elvis, Ross Curran and Kathy O’Donoghue will begin at 7.30pm.
Marking fifty years since punk emerged as a disruptive cultural force, TULCA 2026: Veruca Salt considers what it means to know who you are and know what you want. The festival approaches punk not as a fixed historical style, but as a living method rooted in DIY culture, collective action and self-determination. Across five galleries and a wider series of events in Galway, Veruca Salt brings together exhibitions, film, performance, sound, writing, talks and workshops.
TULCA acknowledges the support of the Arts Council, Galway City Council and Galway County Council, together with all our festival, exhibition and education partners and supporters.
