Anne O’Brien: I Thought Piercings Are for Earrings | An Post Gallery
TULCA presents a live reading by Anne O’Brien as the closing event of the 2026 festival.
O’Brien has been commissioned to write a response text to Veruca Salt on living life by your own rules. The text will be presented at TULCA’s closing event.
Anne O’Brien
Anne O’Brien is a writer based in Dublin and a founding member of The Hardliners, a collective of writers who are blind and visually impaired. A strong sense of feminism runs through her practice, coupled with a sense of mystery and intrigue. She often favours a modified ‘stream of consciousness’ narrative. She writes both semi-autobiographically and fictionally. Recent awards include 'Best Emerging Artist' at the Soul Noir Festival 2022.
