The Mervue Park Portraits of Residents were commissioned under
the Per Cent for Arts Scheme by Galway City Council.
The concept was to give the residents a chance to be included in
commission, by having their portrait painted and for the portrait to
be eventually handed over to the resident and to be displayed in their
Mervue household.

Showcasing a collection of detailed scenic imagery, the artist continues
to develop her exploration into the realm of digital media. Shacklands
is a personal journey back to the artist’s roots. From deep rural Suffolk
she illustrates a series of snapshot locations depicting the complex
multi-layered and extremely organic nature of the content.
